Thanks Steve! Glad you saved the image. These are not like the one original pair I have seen, nor any of the singles.

Not original. Heel and sole look like Michelin tire tread. Also "Ramcke Brigade" Soldbuch groupment of same seller are very very bad.

At least the sole does not say Vibram on it. What are the thoughts on the rest of the boot. Ground up fake or just a resole job?
                    Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

                        Hello all,

This set was found with the gasmask-bag's in 1970, just found an pair that are exactly the same. Former owner stated he bought these also in 1970 in Germany.

I know that the normal 1970 fakes had different soles, therefore wanted to know if someone has encountered these before.

                        Regards,
                        Ron

Hmm , not many comments for such rare items

So, are they a rare variant with a cast-iron provenance , or 1970's fakes made by a "little old man in Germany " ?

                          Come on .............

Without more photos, (interiors) or a hands on inspection it's difficult to know for certain. Personally, would never want a pair like this in my collection. Would be afraid they would be laughing at me every night when I go to sleep.

Patrick has deep experience and can speak accurately about them, perhaps he is traveling now.
