    Collar tabs Sanitäter FJ.

    Hi Guys,

I know there has been some discussion in the past regarding the different kind of cuff titles being used in the FJ units.
If I recall right. There was a general agreement that Fallschirmjäger wore the sanitäter collar tabs.

Since I can't find the thread I was curious from what date they whore the sanitäter tabs.

I think a lot of people know this picture from the halbkompanie of 7 sanitätskompanie ./FSJ.1.

It was made in the vicinity of the Tweede Tol in Dordrecht in May 1940.
They look like sani tabs, but I''m not sure. Anyone who dissagrees?

FJ would wear yellow tabs, identical to flight tabs. Medics wore the blue sanitäter tabs.

I know FJ wore the yellow tabs, but since the 7kp of FJR 1 was in fact the sanitäter company in may 1940, it would have been likely that these men would have got the blue sani tabs instead of the yellow ones. Since these men were all medics.

However all Fallschirmjäger were Jäger at first and medic second.

Also on the picture the tabs visible seem a bit more darker then the standard yellow ones.

      So that's why I'm asking.

If medics, and not stretcher bearers, feldwebel sitting should have a trade-badge on his lower right sleeve.
        And no-one is wearing red-cross armbands...difficult..

Well regarding the red cross armbands, these men were ordered to keep them removed in this stage of the fighting. Only after the situation was less critical they were deployed as medical personal.

As you can see here later around the 12th of May, some did wear the armband :

Although the following 2 were officers I believe this comment is somewhat pertinent, Carl Langemeyer and Heinrich Neumann, both RKTs and Doctors in the FJ wore blue waffenrafrbe collar tabs.
