    1st Fallschirmjäger division to FLERS (Normandy)

    Hi, Everybody

    I look for documents or photos about the training of the 1st Fallsch. div. during the year of 1943, in the town of FLERS, in Normandy (FRANCE). Some photos have been published in the books : -"Les parachutistes Allemands en France" by Alain CHAZETTE, and " Para sur la Normandie" by MILITARIA Magazine. But if you have other photos, let me know.

    David, the book you mention is the best source I have seen to date concerning FJ formations in France.

      Yes Willi, it's a very good book. There are a lot of photos unpublished. but the totally of the photos of the 1st FJ div. training to FLERS are not showed. I look for the photos unpublished.

        for information, Heimdal publishing, in france, will release a book about FJR 6 in france (training to fights in normandy)... in june if i remember well...

        Out post, but i think it's interesting for FJ addicts
