What's the differce between the LW yellow collor tabs and the orange one's?

Yellow tabs are the most common. They represent the flight branch of the Luftwaffe:

Pilots, fallschirmjagers, aircraft mechanics and ect.

Orange is one of the rarest. This waffenfarbe covers the field police after 1943.

Orange ones actually have two options...

Pre war... officer's orange tabs are for undesignated recalled officers(Officer ranks only)

1943- Field police.(Officer/EM)

If you have orange tabs originally applied to a tunic, you have one hell of a rare find. The tabs alone are very scarce, to say the least! I have only seen one set... and I bought them(orange Grefeiter...field police)! Please post photos of your find. I would love to see them!!!!!

Remember, the color is golden yellow. In some color photos it may look more orange, especially on some officer's tabs.

Many yellow piped tunics have a very "orange-ish" shade to them
