I am looking for some interesting reading about the Folgore at El Alamein

Does any one know of any books in english, or web pages going into a bit of detail of the history of the Folgore division at El Alamein? A veteran account would be great.

      Folgore books

Jean , Here are titles and authors of several books on Folgore.

"I Paracadutisti" by Nino Arena. Italian language out of print. Written by a
veteran and Officer. Large format many black and white photos.

"I Paracadutisti Italiani 1937/45" by Giuseppe Lundari Italian/English text
b/w photos color plates. Deals with insignia , uniforms , some histories.
Similar to Osprey books but larger format . Serie* De Bello* It may be still
available through Italian Book Catalogs such as Tutto Storia.

"Rommel's North Africa Campaign" by Jack Greene and Allasandro Massignani
English text. Probably the best unbiased DAK book I have ever read. Information on Folgore and Nembo with Orders of Battle on all AXIS/ALLIES

      Regards Dennis

            Hello,

Try Alamein by John Bierman and Colin Smith published by Penguin in paperback (2003) ISBN 0-141-00467-3. It's a very good short history (445 pages) of the entire North African campaign but with quite a lot on the Folgore in it. The maps are quite good too.

            Happy reading! Peter

              Ciao....

the best book (for me) is: "Folgore!!! e si moriva" (Folgore!!!! and we died) di Raffaele D'Oronzo (unfortunately only in italian language...I think...)

Or some nice pictures of the Folgore at El Alamein. After doing lots of searching, I only found about a dozen on the web.
