Need Help With Helmet

A friend - flea market picker - found this. While the leather liner and chin straps appear (to my untrained eye) newer and possibly reproduction, I'd like to know if the helmet itself is good.

No expert here but it looks like one of the ones that gafrika42 does on Ebay. He takes modern made replicas paints and ages them. He usually paints the whole helmet or has the Luftwaffe decal with the swaz covered so it conforms to Ebay rules. Also pretty sure the snap buttons were not silver but painted grey on originals.
