Hi Guys,
Been doing some research on the following officer: Oberleutnant Martin Pöppel
Fallschirmjäger.

His last command before capture in 1945 was 4Kp. Army Parachute Assault Battalion "Hübner", at Rees, Germany. His book 'Heaven and Hell' has become a 'must read' for all FJ fans.
Does anyone know if this officer is still alive?

Unfortunately Pöppel is dead. Maybe You can find out something about him when You contact his son Martin in Jochberg/Tirol, Austria.
