I guess that info is only for the book, we're not allowed to be told on the site?

              Pockets

Believe it or not, things have not changed much for Airborne Infantry after spending some time in the field. I'm willing to bet the pockets are either for rations, ammo or demo because there is nothing else that matters.

I dont know the answer (would give it otherwise of course) - but I know by chance it will be covered in the book.
So either wait a few weeks - or ask the author Karl "Dr. Bison".

                  Signals

The few photos I've seen of these modifications, which could be pinned down to specific units, were all of paras from various Nachrichtenzüge, the signals units. So, chances are that these gentlemen are also signals men. But please don't ask what was stored in them - I have absolutely no clue.

                  Cheers

Hi Karl, no real evidence so far but I always felt the long narrow pocket was for wire cutters.

                      Best,
                      John

This would require 3 pockets :

Nearly sure that it is a P08 in the right pocket .
