    Identifying FJ KC holder

Hi, recently I've got an FJ estate with great photos.

Is one of you experts able to identify this officer?

    Thanks for comments!

It was my same sensation but was not sure. But now that you say I'm pretty convinced
Looks like he's wearing an Enlisted man cap by the way...

                7. Flieger-Division

My guess is that the second officer is Erich Walther. Walther was commander of FschJägRgt 4 from late 1942. This regiment was subordinate to the 7. Flieger-Division:

Following the battle for Crete the division was refitting and coming up to strength with new recruits. In September it was sent to the Eastern front to fight near Leningrad and it remained in the east until December when it was transferred back to Germany. FJR 2 remained on the Eastern front until June 1942 and when it returned to Germany it was detached from the division to form 2. Fallschirmjäger-Division.
In October it was again back on the Eastern front where it remained over the winter and in May it was transferred to France for rest and was it was redesignated 1. Fallschirmjäger-Division in May 1943.

                  Very nice collection!
I don't think, that is Walter Gericke, because he is not in the officer list from FJR4 from this mission. I think Petrus is right, it's Erich Walther.

I'd say he is oaks winner Reinhard Egger. He was with FschJägRgt 4 (Russia and Sicily/Italy) from 1.4.42 as commander of I.Battalion and after Walther was wounded he assumed command of FschJägRgt 4 which he lead until his capture on 31.7.44.

I agree with you. This was my first though when I saw the pictures and before seeing your post.
