German static line?

Would you help me identifying this "rope"?

It looks like a static line for a german parachute. But I compared it with my RZ20 and I can say that the fabric, the weaving and the weft are a bit different.

What do you think about that?

Looks like it could be a US paratrooper let-down rope, though the ends look odd to me
