Here is one of the few I have ever seen. From the Ardennes Offensive. Note the aluminum helmet bolts.

      Willi,

Fantastic pic, thanks for sharing it. Since I picked up my G43 I wanted to display it with my para, but needed photographic evidence they used them.

        Hello,
There is a famous picture of paratroopers carrying G/K43s riding on a King Tiger during the Battle of the Bulge; I'll look for it. s/f Robert

I could swear that photo is actually of a para with an MP44, but I hope you're right!

Yes, I think the photo of members of FJR9 (3rd FJD) on the back of the King Tiger do include a FJ with a K43. Also, a Sten if I am not mistaken.

WJW, I think they are Russian. Svt40s or something.

Yes Gerd, that is the one. See the Sten, and the K43 on the bottom, you can see the rear sight assembly and the bolt carrier handle.

Yup. And, I am not sure what the FJ standing to his right has.

Good question. . . barrel and what looks like a slide handle are indicative of an M-1 carbine

I think the guy standing is also holding a G/K43....I believe I see the recoil lug and stock appears to have the proper thickness/contour for one....Bodes
