Smock opinnions please

Hi Xav and Steve
I´ve just compared it to others smocks and you´re right Steve this isn´t a problem as the dobbelt stitch lines stops well before going up under the pocket flabs. I´m still not convinced though, as I still think that the stitchlines doesn't "blend in"(not color) as well as on other smocks. But you´re both could very well be right Xav and Steve, and I would love to find proof that Black RiRi plastic zippers were used on jump smocks too. And why shouldn't they be used.

I would love to know for sure, Jan. To me this is one of the most interesting smocks posted on here for ages. I am surprised how little comment it is generating .

Hi,
Ive shown the smock to a seamstress and her opinion is that the zips have never been changed and have been on it from day one.
will take some better photos over the weekend.

Here´s a splinter smock from Brandenburg Kleiderfabrik, from the same period, and it clearly shows a pretty close match on both thread, stichline size and appearence, so I´m now pretty convinced that they are original to the smock too. best Jan
