I agree. A nicely made copy IMO.

Please, explain to me why these are fake ?!
It is very easy to call them fake without backing up with evidence of pointing out why this is different from an original.
I shall come forward as the owner and seller of these straps, no secret in that... but i have shown them ( in hand ! ) to at least 10 well known collectors, also active on this forum. I have not heard them saying they are fake or questionble other then that it is strange that the snappers are not PRYM or STOCKO or what we all want to see. I'm not an expert on this, that is one thing that is for sure, but have had several M38s in the past and these feel correct to me.

So, i'm hoping to see some well funded comments on this.

For those who are also convinced they are good, here is your chance to buy them from me.

Sorry, I was just basing my opinion on what I saw and felt from the photographs provided - a "gut-feeling". I cannot offer any proof as such. Please tell us all you know about them . How is it they are not on a helmet ?

I think this forum was not created for educating fakers !!!
I can only confirm that these chinstraps are repros but i won't explain more.

Not to forget the color - both the leather and suede-leather. Cloth, but not the exact ones.
                          100% fake

The grommets seems to be made out of zink of some sort ?
The snappers are not marked and the cover is blue / grey of color.

I must say i'm impressed that you can all see this from the pictures. I have searched the net and i'm not be able to find where i can find these chinstraps assuming they are fake...
