      Hi Gustav,

      What a fantastic group! Congrats.
Re your post #7 - I think position 3 says "Erinnerungsmedaille"; as the remainder of the entry is illegible now this could be any of the 3 commemorative medals, i.e. Anschluss, Memel or Sudetenland.
As the enlistment date in his WP is not illustrated I can't really say if he was a soldier at the time of the Anschluss, but probably in time for the Sudetenland medal...

I'll drop you an email later today.

      Cheers
      Karl

        Hi Karl,
since 2.8.38 untill 12.6.1939 he was in 9/III. Rgt. Feldernhalle and from 1.7.1939 in 3/FJR 1.

Thank you guys for your comments,I was really shocked how many entries were in the passes when I first read them.
I can make some more photos ,just let me know what you would like to see..
        Gustav

Superb grouping Gustav! Thanks for sharing your find at the show.

Among other things I am intrigued by the issue of a Scharfschützengewehr in 1942. Perhaps it was a k98 with the zf41 scope. Generally the issuance of the 'standard' and later sniper rifle also recorded the serial number of the scope. And sometimes the maker of the scope.... 'cag' etc. I will look at the serial number again.

Because he was Austrian and a member of SA-Feldherrnhalle both the "13.3.1938" and the "1.10.1938" medal are possible.

                Kind regards, Peter
