FJ Helmet books / literature advice requested

    Good day all,

Since a while i have been collecting FJ helmet shells (soil/barn-finds) and would like to purchase good books on these helmets so i can expand to helmets in a better state.

Can the experienced FJ helmet collectors on this forum advise me on which books to purchase?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Leon67,
I´m by no means an experienced FJ collector, but can recommend following books (which I also own).
On steel helmets with an adequate portion on M38:

    1)Germany's Combat Helmets - 1933 - 1945: A Modern Study, Ken Niewiarowicz
2)The History of the German Steel Helmet, 1916-1945, Ludwig Baer

And with beautiful and large photos:

3)German Paratroops: Uniforms, Insignia & Equipment of the Fallschirmjager in World War II, Robert Kurtz
4)German Paratroops in North Africa: Tropical Uniforms, Headgear, and Insignia of the Fallschirmjager in World War, John E. Hodgin
5)German Helmets Of The Second World War, part 2, Branislav Radovic

    Regards,
    Mats
