    Opinions on gravity knife needed

    Hi all picked this up the other day and was told it was captured at Normandy taken from a member of the 12th ss hj. Which I thought was strange as the the 12th ss didn't have paratroopers, anyway I just wanted to get some opinions on the knife and the story. Thanks all.

    Fallschirmjäger and Waffen SS

    There was a good comradeship in Normandy between Fallschirmjäger and Waffen SS. (They fought coast to coast !)
    Maybe this gravity knife was a gift from a paratrooper to a 12 SS Pz HJ soldier.

      or perhaps "HJ" was the shortcut of the Name from a Soldier ?

            Needs a repair but I like it. Like I said I was not sure about the story but that's what I was told. Thanks all

              These knifes are not just Fallschirmjäger issue. They were standard Luftwaffe issue kit. Even Flakhelfer and Flakhelferin were issued these. So it is not outside the realms of possiblity that a member of 12th SS had one.
