I have this collection from a veterans estate here in South Africa .He died several years ago in South Africa. It all came as one lot and is untouched in its originality. The lot consists of a private purchase fliegerbluse with all awards still attached, his breeches ,photos of him and documents including his Fallschirmschutzenschein .His name was Dr Horst Uhlig and he served with The 6. Fallschirmjäger-Division FALLSCH .JG 16 from 03/06/44 to 18/11/44 then went to FALLSCH A.O.K and was captured by the British at wars end where he worked as a medical superintendant at a military hospital for POWS until Oct 1945.The 16th Regiment was transferred to the Eastern Front before the division saw combat, and would later be redesignated as 3rd Fallschirm-Grenadier-Regiment and assigned to Fallschirm-Panzergrenadier Division 2 Hermann Göring. The remainder of the division was sent into combat in Normandy in July and took heavy losses; it was withdrawn to the Netherlands to rebuild, and saw combat there later in the year. In early 1945, it fought in the Battle of the Reichswald, and surrendered to Allied forces in May.
I could be putting the lot on the e-stand in the near future as a lot.
