    Herklion crete cemetery remains

AFTER SOME YEARS OF RESEARCH I FINALLY MANAGED TO DISCOVER TRACES OF THE GERMAN WAR CEMETERY WHICH WAS IN HERAKLION (IRAKLION) WHERE THE FALLSCHIRMJAGERS THAT WERE KILLED IN THAT SECTOR WERE BURIED. I MANAGED TO FIND SOME STONES FROM THE GRAVES AND THE BIG MEMORIAL AND I HAVE PUT PICTURES OF THEM AS THEY ARE TODAY. THE PERIOD PICTURE WHICH I USE TO COMPARE FOR THEN AND NOW, COMES FORM THE BOOK "HEROES IN DEATH" WRITTEN BY ADRIAN NISBETT. THE GRAVITY KNIFE WAS FOUND MANY YEARS AGO INTO A GRAVE IN THIS CEMETERY. SEE THE PICTURE IN THE LINK BELOW.

Thanks for the good words Martin.
I really appreciate this and it gives me strength to continue my work. I believe that history is still present waiting to be discovered so every time I visit Heraklion I try to discover something new.
I'm glad that you like my posts and I hope that many other members are enjoying them. I believe that my greatest discovery was the rock from Blucher's original grave on the battlefield.
          All the best
          Yannis

Yes of course you can post it.
Next time I will arrange to do it without link.
              Thanks for the help.

I have just been informed by the person who found the gravity knife about the exact location that it was found into the cemetery so i will have some names of probable owners later
