the set is not 100% matching , mine are also a bit different .
you can use the same black strap as in the jackboots (but not easy to find)

Yes just different in condition. And exactly for the jackboots straps, but a little short .

I will have to dig out a piece of black strapping that for some reason came with a single splinter bag. You are lucky that both your zippers match. Mine has a unplated brass zipper.

My Holy Grail is still to find a complete set of blue bags. I came close but just missed it.

I think your Holy grail is in EUROPE !!!!
For my zipper, not exactly matched . I noticed a little difference. There are 5 small diamonds on one Zip and 4 on the second one ( look the photo)

the question is to know if they were put together exactly matching .

Different bags, different zippers, two different manufactures or subcontractor.

Zippers have not only different lozenges"diamonds", but also different cursors, between a production and the other some time runs.

These bags were often separated during bloody battles to be launched more precisely to friendly trenches in order to supply them with ammunitions or grenades.
