Very nice to see what happens when paperwork and pictures come together and names can be put to faces

          5./fjr2

I bought some docs and photos of a member of 5./FJR2 who was killed in Kreta. His name was Johann Bruchardt and was Gefreiter.

There are a little photograph and a big size painted portrait of Johann Bruchardt

Thank you Tom. It´s a big deathcard.

There are more things like this letter

It is a letter where Ewald, the kp Führer (Oberleutnant Hans Thiel was KIA in Kreta), explained to Bruchardt´s family where he died. Johann Bruchardt was killed in action in Pyrgos during the second day of the fight when 5 and 6./FJR2 jumped near Maleme´s airport to help their comrades who were fighting for conquering the airport of Malemes

Last item of the group. A little photograph album.

In the last photo there is a name, Friedrich Adler (Thanks Pauke for identifying the name). Maybe another fj friend of Bruchardt who wanted to give this present to Bruchardt´s family.
