      Marco,

Great reenactor photos but some how I got the feeling that your photos will show up on Ebay as originals. Check out my FJ New photos in Town thread...I recently picked up a photo album that has a few pics of Italian paras.

Hmmmm! I will be over in Europe (England/Germany/Luxembourg) in May/June...so I will be tempted to make a sidetrip to Monte Cassino.

Great pictures, although none of those faces exhibit the "strain of battle" look.
          Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

Great pics those on the album! Very probably they are paratroopers attached to the 4FJD, and the pics were taken in early 1944. Last year I met one of these veterans. He fought with the germans from Anzio until September, when he was taken prisoner on the Gothic line. As he told me, at that time he and his comrades were wearing german uniforms, probably due to supply problems

                Static meeting or dinamic?

                Hi Marco
I read the program, what I ask is if is it a static event or a dinamic, I would like to come to Cassino with my NSU 251 OSL together with my brother's Kübelwagen and some friends, as we did ten years ago, or down there.....

                Thank you in advance
                Ciao
                Alessandro

                        Thanks for the additional information.

Question: Did the veteran Italian para mention anything about why they continued to fight even after Italy surrendered.

IMO I dont think these will fool any one on ebay. But then again theres plenty of fools on ebay that get taken every day.
before someone get mad ... I AM JUST KIDDING :

well , generally speaking you are right Greg different history and Kings , populations , religions all over modern Italy in last centuries ... but my sicilian friend , German stuffs collector , is 6'3'' he might be a perfect SS !!! here in the north there are still alive persons which were born Austrian ... but , once again , you are right here the most are fat and short

No, we didn't speak specifically about this matter, but I was able to know the person well enough to understand that most probably he stayed on the german side for a mix of reasons: his political ideas for sure, but also his personal view of the sense of honor. He was young, so probably his decision was also determined by the decisions of his comrades.
