    Postwar FJR5 Veteran Grouping

I picked up years ago while still a soldier stationed in Heidelberg, Schwetzingen, Germany an interesting grouping of Kameradschaft postcards and brochures belonging to a Dr. Hans-Albert Barnikol a former Fallchirmjaeger of FJ Pionier Sturmregiment and FJR 5 in Afrika and a member of FJ Kameradschaft Mannheim/Ludwigshafen.

First is a photo of him (ich) with a group of his FJ Kamerads taken at the cemetary in Tunisia in 1966 and the reverse with the names of the ex-paras.

Next is a Christmas Card sent to Dr. Barnikol from the FJ Kameradschaft Mannheim-Ludgwishafen and a post card sent by Dr. Barnikol to another FJ Veteran. On this postcard is a photo of Dr. Barnikol wearing his 1957 award ribbon bar.

Next is a invitation to the twelfth Reunion of the British 2nd Paras. I suppose that Dr. Barnikol and other FJR5 members were given these invitations as part of partnership between the two Paratroop organizations. There is also several photos of the British Paras participating in a ceremony somewhere in England.
