'PM' marked Luft Para Badge - Opinion/Photo request

    Hello folks,

I have the option of buying this piece. I have adjusted the brightness/contrast to bring out the details. Any thoughts on the originality of this one? Can someone share a photo of a known original 'PM' marked Luft Para Badge.

The photos dont show the catch ver well. The round wire 'C' catch is soldered to a round plate. This plate is then soldered to the wreath.

    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Calvin,

check out Detlevs latest update. His copy of the week section has a good comparison of the fake badge of this maker and the original one!

      Frank,

Thanks for poiniting me to Detlev's site.

I compared my example to his 'copy' and to his original badge. The hinge on mine is obviously different than those shown on both the original and the copy. The wreath on mine looks more like his original than his copy. The eagle on mine is different from both the original and the copy. Hard to say about the rivets, does not seem to match either one. Conclussion...it does not match either badge that he shows.

      Thoughts, opinions?

Anyone have a known original that conforms to my example?

just to confuse the issue further, here is a Meybauer parabadge that seems different again, and has been authenticated by 2 reliable sources as original (and possibly pre-war)

              @ Chall:

The Backside looks more identical to the osang para badge!

              Greetings

              Heinrich
