Dress daggers

Giday everyone,

What was the situation with officers and men who joined the paratroops after having served in an army unit regards the wearing of army dress daggers. Where they permitted to wear their army dress dagger or were they required to purchase a Luftwaffe dress dagger?

Never say never, but of the few portrait photos I have seen of former army paratroopers wearing dress daggers, all of them have been Luftwaffe ( both 1st and 2nd models ). Here are a couple of examples.
