Luftwaffe Soldbuch

Hi, I am a new member and am looking for some assistance. I was recently clearing out my Grandmother's house and came across a Luftwaffe soldbuch that a family member had brought back after the war. I know nothing more about it than that but have been doing a bit of my own research and have managed to get to grips with some of it. So far I have worked out that he was Luftnachrichten which meant he was a signaller. There is mention of Fallschirmschule and Kampfschule 4FJ Division so I am assuming he was a paratrooper or at least attached. Can anyone shed any light? I would love to know more. I also don't know how someone would come to be in the possession of a soldbuch unless the owner was perhaps a POW?

I will attach some photos of the pages if anyone can advise the best way to do so. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

From what you wrote I can tell that the owner of the Soldbuch was a Luftwaffe man that began his service in a signal unit but that, late in the war, was transfered to a ground unit due to the shortage of infantry replacements. The 4th paratrooper division fought in Italy at a stage of the war when the "real" Fallschirmjaeger were just a small percentage. Most of its components came from other branches of the Luftwaffe, technical services in particular.
Very probably your relative fought in the 8th Army in Italy and brought the Soldbuch back has a souvenir. Hard to say how he got it, but I don't think it came from a POW as these personal documents continued to be used after the capture. Maybe he just found it somewhere, or he took it from a fallen soldier.

Since the 4FJD fought very close from where I live, I would like to see it in details, and if you are thinking to sell it, just drop me a line
