              I agree with antipartisan.

In this case, I suggest to hear Tom Durante's opinion in the Luftwaffe section.

                Hi guys,

I saw this post in the LW section, which I posted some information:

                http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=600920

But to answer the questions above, this is an Steinhauer & Luck badge. Osang used a very similar hinge, but other than that the badges are quite different as far as design goes, and rivetting, finish and catch setup. Furthermore, most Osang paras are marked, but all these wartime S&L badges were left unmarked. We know that S&L made them because their reverse hardware is identical to other S&L-marked badges. These have also been found on postwar "souvenier boards", which were put together and sold to GIs by S&L employees allegedly using leftover wartime badges.

And this exact eagle and wreath design was used to make the 1957er badges, which were almost exclusively made by S&L. So it suggest that S&L used their same wartime die to produce the 57ers.

                Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
