    5. FJD St. Lo Area - Battle of Bulge

    Today i have got this nice Set from a Paratrooper in the Fallschirmjäger Rgt. 13 - 5. Fallschirmjäger Division.
    Paratrooper License from April 1944, he got his Para-Badge in April.
    Awarded Iron Cross Second class and Ground Assualt Badge at August 1944 with 5. FJD for Battle Action at Normandy, St. Lo Area !!!!!!

    The 5. FJD are destroyed at the Falaise Pocket. paratrooper Krankenhagen served as Oberjäger in Dezember 1944 with the new FallschirmjägerRgt. 13 to the battle of bulge.
    At December 11 in 1944 he got a a new Soldbuch from the new Fallschirmjäger Rgt. 13 - it was formed after heavy Battle in Normandy.
    With his POW Number - you can research - he got as US POW at Januar 3 in 1945 - after Battle Action in the Bastogne Front - back in Germany Sector.

                  Now i see - right is March the 1. in 1945 !!!! Not January !

                  Yes..no Photo in the Soldbuch - but for a "Zweitschrift" -i think his fist Solbuch lost at Normandy - its a Great Soldbuch - and he only Used it some Mounths - battle of bulge included...!

                    Are there more lists out there of POW camps that somebody knows of??
