Fj helmet markings

How commen/uncommen is it that there is no size mark or makers mark in a aprox 1942 FJ helmet shell??

Hello Jacob

I believe that all original M38 shells had maker and size marks. Some are very faint and almost invisible, especially mid to later war examples. Also, if it happens to be a rear marked CKL those marks are sometimes higher on the shell and hidden behind the liner band.

If you have a particular helmet in hand, pictures would be good. Can you see a batch number stamp?
