    FJ grave shield (june 1944)

    Hi,

I can buy this grave shield but I think they are not so often seen. Are these rare?

Date of 12-6-1944 looks to be interesting. Perhaps Normandy / Carentan? It coule be anywhere of course.

Perhaps I cannot read correctly ?
but can you tell us how is written "führer" ??
I would see a big error and so consider the shield as big crap .

        I agree with clint-magnum.
Also, I don't think that in June 1944 in Normandy the germans had time to make a so elaborated grave shield. In my opinion, at that time they had other priorities

Indeed, I did not noticed the misspelling on "furher" ....

Does it look to be aged / altered?

It's crazy someone would go to so much trouble to fake an item, but then misspell Führer!!

Seems wooden signs are making the rounds now. There are some telltale signs a signwriter here on waf told me to look for. Hopefully he may comment but I agree it's not a good one.

There's another mistake in it: "kameraden" should be spelled with capital letter. Nine words, two mistakes: failed!
