    10. Sturm-Regiment - what FJ Division?

Hello. I've just aquired a nice set of FJ documents. The soldiers unit written on the EKII document (signed by Kurt Student) is "10. Sturm-Regiment".

Can someone tell me to what FJ Division this regiment belonged?

    Regards

There was only one Sturmregiment so the unit must be the 10th Company of the Sturmregiment.
The Sturmregiment as far as I know was used as a "fire brigade" unit, and it was sent wherever needed.

So everything depends on the date of the document you have. Can you post a picture please?

I tought I already answered to your question!
The Sturmregiment did not belong to any division. It was sent in the most critical areas of the front, and not necessarly was attached to a FJD. This EKII was awarded for action in Russia.
In the link I added previously you can read that the III Btl was:
15.1.42 - 3.42: Juchnov, Schaikovka, Schlüsselburg and Mius.
From those locations you can easily find the other units that fought in the area.
              Just use google!

On 6 January 1942 10./StuReg was allocated to the 58 Infantry Regiments in 6th Inf. Div. From 14 January 1942 this company defended Sobakino village (in Rshew area). Company started battle with 210 officers, NCOs and men. When he was finally relieved on 6th April 1942 it was down to 2 officers, 19 NCOs and 51 men. Commander Oberleutnant Horst Vogel was awarded German Cross in Gold (14 April 1942). Maybe your soldier received his EK2 for this battle, too ?
                Regards,
                Piotr
