    Tan/Olive Bandolier, opinions please.

    Hello,

Posting this Bandolier on behalf of a friend, could I please have some feedback asto whether it has a chance of being genuine or not as the case may be, please?

The poppers are PRYM6, the bando appears to me in unissued condition.

    Thank you in advance,

    Mark.

Interesting how corroded the snaps are, yet how perfect the fabric is.

As Mr. Singer sometimes says, "could entertain doubt."

Would not be for me, ...... ever.

Steve, are you sure you feel comfortable making this sweeping comment without hearing from the Japanese collector sitting high atop Mt. Foley?

                  Hello,

There are leather strengthening "discs" / "washers" on the rear of the poppers?

I have handled fake Bandoliers with fake PRYM poppers and they tend open and close very easily with the metal being very thin they can also be easily bent out of shape.

These poppers are near as damn it the same as the poppers on my RZ20 rig which are very difficult to open and shut.

Incidently my RZ20 is in very good/mint condition and has similar "corrosion" on the poppers?

If anyone would care to see more pictures I am sure I can sort it out?

                  Regards,

                  Mark.

There shouldn't be a maker on a late war combat piece like this...

In certain locations on jump smocks, yes.

                      On bandoleers, no.

Of course, as any Japanese collector will tell you, Karl Lotz is a legitimate maker of bandoleers ( and other FJ items ).
