Was told that this was a Cassino bring-back. Any thoughts on this one?

It looks good IMO. But why are the stampings inside turned 90 degrees? I never say this before. Is the common?

Position of the maker and size stamps is interesting...not common at all.

Great helmet ! I love the fact that they stamped it wrong Shows the stamps were put in after the liners are made.

Nice helmet. Interesting stamps, never seen one mis-stamped like that. Is the decal also a little bit of a mis-print or is there another decal under the top one? Looks a little like you can see the border of another decal or else the one we see is slightly offset. Interesting as well that all the paint is gone from the bolts. This helmet has some intriguing features!

Can you tell us the story behind the helmet that ties it to Casino?

Thanks all, it came back with a US 88th Division Veteran that participated in the Italian campaign....along with a very nice and uncleaned Paul Meybauer Para badge with nearly all the gold finish present on the eagle!
