Hi Luft76,
The 3 FJD Gliederung for 22 May 44 shows all nine heavy companies (4,8,12 FSR 5, 4,8,12 FSR 8 and 4,8,12 FSR 9) with the upwards pointing arrow symbol of a "kanone", the number "2" is under each symbol to show a quantity of 2 guns, but only three of these symbols, have to the left of the symbol something else written, and this would usually be the size of the gun in mm, but the Gliederung copy is too poor to read this properly.
However something that may also be of interest, is that the unreadable gun size is only shown written for the 4th Kompanie of each regiment, the other heavy companies have nothing written alongside the kanone symbol.
It then possible that these different descriptions mean they are different types of kanone ? maybe.
cheers lennard
