Interesting grouping! Reading his history was also interesting as he was captured in the same area and around the same time as my father was. It also appears he served in the same POW camp (my father said he was with alot of FJs) and was also released by the Brits at about the same time to help farmers with their crops in the British occupation zone.

Good question. Seems to have been done in late war FJ formations (as in the fall of '44 and later).
