217359 : as a LuW Nr, the Mob-list gives : "REG."
What does this REG. means?
The ID-tag belonged to a KIA Fallschirmjäger;

It's in the serie 217356 - 217360, so 2./Fallschirm-Sturmgeschütz-Brigade 12 would be the most obvious answer.....
