Yes, its the same one we have seen posted here a few times in the past. Its a perfectly fine original, but apparently its hard to find many collectors willing to part with 33K for a single badge.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Why did they make it in 800 silver instead of aluminum etc. ?
Only a complete nut job would buy it for that price. imo

There are aluminum Heer jump badges. Engraved silver badges are rather special, and rare.

Money comes hard for most us working guys. But remember, there are some WWII militaria collectors out there for whom 33K is pocket change.

Pretty sweet badge but for a for a whole lot less you can get an un-engraved Heer para badge and and a cased Knights Cross so that is what I would do...but hey, if you can get the money for it more power to seller I guess.

                Cheers,

                Glen

                  Good point John,

we should also keep in mind that even the really rich guys are getting thinner on the ground these days. I can think of 3 or 4 who have been wiped out completely in the current economic meltdown since 2008.

And even those who still have big money are working hard to hold on to it and not spending like they once did. Many stating quite clearly it is going to get worse before it gets better.

Good luck to anyone trying to get US$33,000 for a badge at the moment,

                  Chris
