I've never seen a wartime photo of Alexander Uhlig except for the one I posted "If you show me yours I'll show you mine" thread. I also included a signed Biographic sheet from him. Bill
as a matter of fact, there are at least five different photos of Alex of which I know plus one shot of which I believe, he is visible in the background. Three of the five are, however, pre-war training pictures where his squad was posing for the photographer, two portraits (including the one previously posted in this forum) are wartime as is the one photo from Normandy of 16. Kompanie FJR6 where I believe, he can be seen in the background.
Here are two wartime photos of Alex Uhlig, the first is from my collection, the second is from the book Knights Cross Holders of the Fallschrmjager (Excellent!!) by Franz Kurowski. I also have 2 post war signed photos of him, both with RK if you want me too post them too.
Hi all just got back from normandy meeting with members of FJR6, thanks Bill,and Volker for the information,also thanks to Phil for the war time photos of him, please do post the post war photos of him. i will post mine in the next few weeks it was a great honour to meet him and the othere vetrans.

I was at Aire de la Baie we had tents at the back of the hotel, there where four of us Tom Gulliver the tall guy with the 4x4 and his friend and me and Carl Surman who also speaks german and french, here at La cambe tom at back with his friend with camcorder.
