Some interesting info about the 3 brothers.
Wolfgang and Hans Joachim buried together
Sadly Leberacht's body was never found.
Looking East from the Top of Hill 107 photo probably taken on the 21st of May once DR Neumann and his Sturm Regiment had taken the hill. This is more than likely the reserve drop. You can’t really see on this photo as I had to downsize the image, but on my original you can see the gliders all near the bridge.

Vets are awarded a commemorative medal.

This Vet is Mr Heinz Reichel he was with FJ regiment 3 and jumped into prison valley on the 20th May 1941

Mr Reichel’s best friend was Heinz Weidhase, he showed me a photo of himself and Mr Weidhase in the Juncker 30 minutes before they jumped on that fateful day. From the photo you could tell that they were best of friends and I guess they were quite excited about going into battle

Unfortunately Mr Weidhase received a bullet to the head shortly after landing. Mr Reichel mentioned that Mr Weidhase was a mere 10 meters away from him when he was killed
136 Soldiers from the 100 Gebirsjager Regiment 100 were lost at sea on there way to Crete
Michael Winkler was one of the casualties that I looked for in the Cemetery because he has my surname.
I was lucky enough to pick up his sterbebild recently and from this I can put a face to the name. Michael Winkler +22.05.1941 Vet of Poland, Norway, Holland, Belgium, France and Greece. This is very special to me.
Another grave of a para with my surname .
Kurt Winkler +20.05.1941 Iraklion 6.FJR.1
And another, not sure but maybe they were brothers ?

The grave of Fritz Weller. I was lucky enough to buy Fritz grouping a while back so it was an honour to find his grave.
