    Gents,
    I know this will be a hard one...but I look for intel about this fallschirmjäger.
    The name is Brandes, pretty sure his rank is ober gefreiter.

    I know it's a pretty comon name in Germany....but i just try my luck

    Another helmet with RF number ...looks like the owner probably killed so you can try to find through wast . Based on helmet features the date is from 44 till 45 ?
    Looking for FJR2 combat pics in Russia.

      Thank, I looked on Gräbensuche and there where a lot Brandes killed in action in 1945.

      To bad I can't search there on brand (heer/lw/km) or see ranks

      any info would be helpfull

            Bringing up this old thread, not for the name but for the RF number discussion once held here on the forum concerning my M-38 'Big hole' near Soest NL groundfind also bearing the RF stamp with exact number.

            (most images are gone..

            I think this helmet clears away any doubt that the RF numbers on FJ helmets although very, very rare did exist.

              If you search the Volksbund database, ranks are listed, and so often is location of death, so perhaps you could find a match. However, with a names like Brandes, it would be hard to proove anything.
