From a French web page a phone number for anybody with any leads.
Its a good thing that the serial numbers have been made public. That will help a lot recovering these!

Plouescat.

For stealing stuff that was locked with a 10$ chain?

Not locking up this kind of rare stuff properly is like asking for it to be stolen.

They are even stealing from the graves, it has gone so far that i have seen pictures where they even dig on graveyards, this is a crazy world with crazy collectors that will pay ridiculous amount of money for the stuff they want, just look at that Auschwitz sign..

It's sad that these were left out in the rain to deteriorate for decades in the first place. They dont make this stuff anymore. Even museums are still doing this. Hope they will track them down and put them in a better place where they belong. Still very sad and disrespectful, but a miracle that they have stood there for so long! Today everything usable is stolen from cemetaries, from cheap candles to bronze artifacts.

                            Were these ever recovered?

If you strip them down and properly restore them, how could you ever prove they are the stole pieces?
                                I think they are gone.
