FJ Postcards

I was just wondering how much original postcards of famous fallshirmjagers were worth these days?

Naturally i assume condition would matter but are some postcards rarer than others?. I think in the book by R.Kurtz it says postcards of General Ramcke in portrait pose are quite hard to find.

I`ve got one of Arpke, Koch, Brauer and Delica which i think are the commonly found ones?.

Hi Des,

Another factor on value is that these were often period autographed, especially for the HJ who admired the paras and collected postcards. Autographed cards are worth much more than plain ones. Willi keeps up with prices better than I and he sure to log on and answer soon.

Hi Des and John,

The Willrich cards you describe are the most common and bring about $20-30, more if signed. These common ones are also heavily reproduced. The rarer ones bring much more. I think there are a good 25 FJ Willrich cards in the series.....some have eluded me for years.

Regarding the repros, I assume they would just be lasercopies from a print shop or something and therefore fairly easy to spot?

The repros are superb! You have to have handled enough of the real ones to know. Trust me, they are near perfect. Usually the print on the back is the key.....hard to spot unless you have some real ones in front of you. They even use nice paper which does not glow under a blacklight.

Not sure how many on in the set. The book on Willrich war art seems to have most of them included. Seems to be a good 25 or so. I have 14 different ones, don't know anyone who has them all. The common ones are easy to find.........good luck on the rest.

Not a para subject and I do not know much about these but I have a Rommel Willrich postcard. Is that one among the common ones? If yes, which ones are rare?
