      Thank you for the post.

I asked my dad for other brothers and sisters from my grandmother. He said he know one brother and called him, but he's not so healthy.
So he can't ask him for other pictures of Kurt. He maybe try it later.
Perhaps he has more pictures of Kurt, but I'm not sure.

I am looking forward to your answer.

I have only now seen this thread after a link in the helmet forum. All I can say is WOW!

An amazing coincidence and a very thoughtful response. Also excellent excavation work.

Herlé, thanks for the info is it possible to know where this Fj served later , could he served in FJR3 or FJR4 in the next winter ? Or he just looks similar to the man in the tranch but not the same ?
Also based on additional info which Kurt1922 gave to me i'd like to say some words about W.Weier . He has knew and still remember Franz Erdmann ...I hope to have more info from W.Weier and perharps some news about these tragic days of battle . Thanks to all /

Does anyone know if Hans Bachsteffel survived the war?
Sturm i'm positive its the same man in both photos unless he has a
                                twin brother.
                                Regards Paul.B.
