I wrote to german military archive in Freiburg, because they had the war diaries of the FJR3. I hope i became a copy of the diaries soon. I can post then.

Where do you meet Wilhelm Weier this spring - on the battlefield Knobloch Höhe?

When you give him my uncle's ID tag, I can meet Wilhelm too and he can give me the ID tag. I can't wait for this moment. My grandmother (Kurts sister) died ago a few years. I'm sorry that she missed this.
    Sad about your grandmother .
If Weier will come again into Russia - i will give him personally , but in other case some of my friends should meet him in Germany ( i think in May ) so i will send it through him . I don't want send it through post because it's not safe i think .
You will find many interesting info in Freiburg archive - i already read these diaries .

There was a german counterattack made on night of March 25/26 1943 . The unit was III./FJR3 . Their main aim was to take back the missed positions of III/FJR 4 . They did it but had heavy casaulties in the next two days . 9 komp also took part in that action and Kurt Jeschke was one of these killed . What why he was found there on the positions of FJR4 /
Below some pix from my archive they made on Knobloch hill and looks like this is one of groups who made that counterattack . Unfortunatly i have only one leaf from album , but think it's original .

Already took the trench and wait for russian counterattack . Heavy equipped and even with bayonets on k98s . The guy who sleeps (or wounded ?) looks very exhausted .
Another guy in the middle looks little similar to your unckle /
Second photo shows some alive , look at the guy to the left , his mouth full of blood and face damaged ...everything he feels is in his eyes .

Add some pix and i think enough
Anti-slip galoshen found in bunker ( already third pair on this place) ,and i wonder why it was used on ground actions but I found some info where wrote that FJR4 was prepared to drop on Kaukasus and in last moment everything has changed- they should go to Smolensk region with all jump equipment . Thats why they had anti-slips in their holes and bunkers .
