Keith, then IMO the marking is not a proper German military marking. Sorry.

The "/" should not be in that location.

"3./ Fallschirm - Jäger Rgt. II" would be a different story. Or just "Fallschirm - Jäger Rgt. II"

Another question would be if it were a "11". Also a problem to me. That would be a late 1943 11th FJR unit marking. Then there is the fact that the gloves have a RBNr with a FJ unit marking, something they stopped doing for intelligence purposes after 1940.

Just my opinions.

It reads "Fallschirm-Jager Rgt./II" so I guess the markings are no good. What about the mittens/gloves themselves? I've never seen a pair like these before.
