That's an amazing battlefield discovery Ben!

I just received a copy of von der Heydte's 45-page summary (he wrote it in 1954) of FJR6's operations in Normandy, so I will see if he mentions that area as a medical unit location.

            Thanks for your comments.
I will try to clean it carefuly to have more white.
The way to make the red cross with a round white on the helmet seems to be the same way that the one presented in the book of "Gazette des Uniformes" about German helmets.

            Regards
            Ben

that is an amazing discovery, I have driven on the N13 in that area many times,

would you be able to tell us how you made the discovery? did you approach the farmer to ask if he had any relics?

Willi, is the report in German or English? would you be able to share a copy?

Ben, I would leave it is you found it. IMO.

Though a great book, I would have to see some more of this medic's helmet before I would feel absolutely comfortable with it.

                              Very nice find !

Ne fais pas la bêtise de le nettoyer, laisse le dans son état de découverte, qu'auras-tu de plus en le nettoyant ? ? ?
