                  Is the same here, HOT!

                  Was reading about the final battles at Cassino and the surrender of the Abbey last night. Horrible conditions back in 44, but through our visit with you, I can imagine and "see" the events much better in my mind. Thanks for memories and history! Miss your wonderful town and country!

                        Soldier of "Hermann Goering" division. The presence of this unit in Tuscany was very heavy in the summer 1944 and some detachements took part to anti-partisans foughts. Note the Splinter feld-division smock.
