Since he is carrying a MG gunner tool pouch i would also vote for MG.

...has anyone of you ever seen such a bag for a MG 34/42 on other photos before boarding the JU?
I think this is really rare. I`ve seen dozens of the boarding photos but never with a MG bag...

Great photo! I too suspect it is a Mg34. It looks like a '41 or '42 photo. Perhaps the FJ is from a Lehr Bataillon.
