    Army Eagle on FJ Smock?

I came across this pic on another forum and it seems that the Jaeger on the left has a Heer eagle on his smock. Was this a common thing?

    Thanks

    Great photo.
Over the years I've seen Army eagle on SS cap, Army eagle on SS sleeve.

Thanks for the responses guys. A pity that i haven't got a time frame for the pic. I know that the first FJ were Heer until they were taken into the Luftwaffe, maybe you FJ experten can ascertain a time frame from the equipment shown.

I believe this was taken after the attack on Fort Eben Emael? would be a quite early pic- maybe can account for the use of army eagales over LW at this time.

Yes, for early Heer Fallschirmjäger, this was their standard jump smock.
