    FYI,

      And it appears they are worn in the groove in the heel.

        And it looks like, they are not meant to be worn that way, in the enlargement you can see, there is already a tear btween the front and the beginning of the loop.

          They look like they fit correctly to me.

          Not sure that is a tear, perhaps a slightly different design....

            Looks like the strap is sealed to the rubber shoe at that place.. or maybe they're adjustable at that spot ?

              Both surviving pairs I have handed so far were molded in a a way, that the strap is sealed there - like Jos thought - and stand up in a way, that it is clearly not menat to fit in the groove. Doing so will result - as seen here - in seperating the strap from the shoe. The strap was not adjustable.

              Here is one pair, worn in the correct way:

                I think I've another picture, other para's, where they also wear them in the groove though..

                rare stuff BTW, are they yours ?
