Fallschirmjäger buried at La Cambe in Normandy

    Hi!

I tought I would show you my german death card I got today. Fallchirmjäger Franz Estermann killed in St. Lô the 15 of June 1944. I think he is buried at La cambe (maybe someone would like to help me search after his grave), before me, the owner of this death card said to me that Estermann is buried at La cambe in Normandy. I like this death card really much, it's interesting!

    Best wishes from Per.

    Hi, PER

I'm from Normandy, and i go back from La CAMBE cimetery this WE. I have found the grave of the Oberjäger Manfred VARNEY (FJR6 - KIA June, 9 1944).
I will try to find the grave of your FJ and take a photo for you. I will let you know.

    Thanks, David.

I got a new death card yesterday of a Fallschirmjäger killed in Normandy. He is also buried at the La Cambe cemetery in Normandy, France. Josef Schönbrunner, Unteroffizier in a Fallschirmjäger Division. Killed at age 23.

Posting a picture of the four death cards I now own. All buried on La Cambe.

          Best wishes from Per.

              Could it be a reproduction?

                  sterbild

I don't think it is a reproduction. I have several sterbild and the quality of the print is good.

Death card were printed in many copies and sent to the soldier's family and relatives.
Very often, lots are found. I have two copies of the same card (a paratrooper buried in Italy)
